Make a headwrite effect in Proshow Producer

Postby cheperun » Fri May 22, 2015 12:09 pm

Hi i'm new in a forum.

I'm interested to create a handwriting effect. Something like this example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uevdBElf80E

This example was created with After Effects and I would like to know if i can the same effect with the proshow producer or any other third application.

Thanks

Member Dave Fitzpatrick has a product that will do this called Captions Alive Pro. He wrote the program a number of years ago.

To see a demo.

Hello

Dave had not been posting here since last october ans his photodex account, we could find in his post, seem to be closed.

Therefore are you sure it is still possible to get Captions Alive Pro ?

He's still in the programming business and is creating apps for mobile devices, the latest called ScrapPage.

If you don't have any luck with Captions Alive Pro, BluffTitler, together with Bixelangelo is able to do the handwriting effect. http://www.outerspace-software.com/bixelangelo

One of the unusual features of the BluffTitler effect is it will also copy the speed at which the handwriting is done. If you write slow it plays back slow, write fast, it plays back fast, mix the two and it will copy just the way you wrote it. Downside, it probably works best using a Wacom tablet if you're going to free hand a signature.

added: If you don't have any luck with either of the above options, and you need just one effect done, I have After Effects and can do it for you. Send me a PM if you want to discuss it.

I bought bixelangelo but my hand writing is not as good as the nice fonts of Captions Alive

Debbie: thank you. I will use the contact form on the site.

I just wrote to Dave because, at least for me, his MediaDigitronics site isn't coming up, though it's not a 404 error problem.

Marie,

Bixelangelo can also do a reveal effect, also called a write on effect, on text as well as drawings. So you can use any font, it doesn't have to be hand written. And a reminder that you do need BluffTitler to work together with Bixelangelo.

It's all in the timing, I guess. Yesterday when I tried it, zilch was the result. I just now tried it again, and it came up instantly.

Mikey, Dave and I both use the same web host, and we'd been going back and forth yesterday about the fact that he was having hosting issues while I wasn't. At this point, I'm thinking it was a specific server that may now be fixed.
