Backing up Styles and Transitions
Good Day, All!
I'm a first time poster here, but have been lurking for about 6 months. I've enjoyed learning from you all!
Since I have begun to create custom slide and transitions I wanted to verify if I understand PSP's file structure for backing up my custom files.
I'm a little confused as to where everything is being stored.
I know I can backup the files from C:\ Program Files (x86) \ Proshow Producer \ Styles and C:\ Program Files (x86) \ Proshow Producer \ Transitions
But is that sufficient?
What if a style uses a custom mask? Where are those files located?
Thanks for your assistance,

Welcome to the forum !
You don't need to create any backup for the styles and transitions that are in the path that you mentioned above.
Those are the styles and transitions that are built-in, that come with the program. They are created when you install the program.
Customized styles and transitions are saved in this path: C:\ProgramData\Photodex\ProShow
Normally this is a hidden directory in Windows, and if you can't see this directory on your computer, then I suggest that you use ProShow's own function of Manage Effects > Styles (or Transitions) > Export.

Re: Backing up Styles and Transitions
Hello
I also created many transitions ans Styles.
What I have done is
In each of these 2 folders
I off course save regularly those folders
I also created many transitions ans Styles.
What I have done is
- create one folder for transitions where I export my own transitions
- create one folder for styles where I export my own styles
In each of these 2 folders
- create a sub folder called source
- in those subfolder create one sub folder for each style or transition.
In those sub folders, I keep the psh file and the elements used so to be able to modify easily the transition or the style or to create another variation of the style or transition
I off course save regularly those folders

Re: Backing up Styles and Transitions
Thank you both for clarifying!
I would hate to lose the items I created, and now I feel like I can back these up confidently!
