DVD back to PSP
Is there any way of taking a DVD that you have made from PSP and putting it back into PSP so you can make changes or add ons etc.
I have some old shows on DVD that I would like to alter a little but don't know if this can be done or not.
Thanks
Penny

In general, the answer is "not very well" - unless you saved the show information
as well (pix, psh file etc) to the DVD, basically all that is on the DVD is an mpeg2
video. There are some mpeg2 editors out there that allow you to do things, but
all you are going to be able to do is normal video stuff (cut/fade/other stuff) - you
will not be able to change the timing of a caption or wording for example since
it has been reduced to a mpeg2 video.

You can't have too many gadgets or too much disk space !!
mikey (PSP6, Photoshop CS6, Vegas Pro 14, Acid 7, BluffTitler, Nikon D300s, D810)
Lots of PIC and Arduino microprocessor stuff too !!

Thanks for that info Mikey, it was just a thought. I will just have to be careful about deleting shows once I have done them. I have the space on the computer so I can keep plenty around. I am just a little trigger happy with deleting stuff when I think I am done.

"Trigger happy" often leads to a problem called HIFD (Hole In Foot Disease)
Depending on what you are doing with your shows (and who they are going to),
it is not a bad idea to put an \EXTRAS folder (or whatever you want) on the
DVD with the show.psh file, raw pictures etc in there if you have the room. Makes
getting back later easier

Thanks again I will do that as I always burn an extra copy for myself and usually have the space.
I wonder if you can help me on this one as well. I have a DVD of my son-in-law doing a bungy jump.
I can get it onto my hard drive would I be able to use it as part of the show I am doing for him? you know the way you can use video clips etc from your video camera.
thanks again

I have had success with this. The DVD, copied to the harddrive will have a number of .vob files. rename these to .mpg, find the clip and edit as required and import the resulting .mpg file to PSP.
