Showdown Winding Down

Postby alcain » Thu Sep 27, 2007 11:05 am

I want to thank all of those who participated in the Contrasting Colors Themed Contest! And I want to thank those as well, who viewed the shows and commented on them. I think it's about time to wrap this one up so here's the deal...

Any show tagged in any way as a Showdown Entry is elgible for voting.
I will re-cap the shows and add all the links in a future post.
After I post the recap of the shows, I will initiate a poll for everyone to vote for thier favorite entry.
The winner will be announced one week after the poll initializes.

The winner will recieve a professionally done certificate (courtesy of HunnyB) for thier efforts and accomplishment.

Then...

I would like to propose a new contest themed simply... Holiday Season 2007.
Shows should be themed accordingly. We are a group of various belief systems, so any show about the festivities and wonder of this
upcoming season will be elgible.

The winner will recieve a certificate and a genuine antique reproduction mechanical wooden toy from my Wooden Wonders website.
The prize will be one of my very popular "Classic Climbing Monkeys" completely hand made using solid woods.
I will issue a certificate of authenticity with the wooden toy, as I am little by little, becoming more world known.
The little wooden monkey may become very valuable one day... (He has a friend in the National Museum, Seoul, South Korea).

So, If you haven't entered your Contrasting Colors show, please do it by midnight Saturday (the 29th).

And, put on your thinking cap for Holiday Season 2007! (That contest will most likely end 12/15/2007
so I can ship the award to arrive before Christmas day).

Blessings, ~al

Al,

Any way you can talk your friend into adding his show to the mix? After all, you two started this.

Mark.... Mark? Are you listening? Don't be shy. It doesn't have to be fancy or perfect.

Everyone has different styles and we will benefit from seeing your style of show whatever it looks like. :)

But we can't benefit if you don't take that step and share it.

Thanks folks ! That was one of those shows that just "had to be"
when I heard the spoof on Richard Simmons, just had to make it.
Probably spent 2 hours collecting the stuff, taking pictures and putting
it together.

Hey Sandy -- you got the include image to work !! very good.

The raccoon did it. I was smiling up until then, but I cracked up after the masked critter appeared. Usually, it's my own irreverence that gives me the first laugh of the day, but you, Mikey, claimed first place this morning. Thank you!
