How do you do it?

Postby Habengut » Thu Oct 11, 2007 9:56 pm

For starters, I'm new to this forum - and to ProShow Producer... although not entirely novice. BUT how do you guys start a show/project? I tend to choose 16:9 or 1600x1200 pixels. Is that (last mentioned) crazy since the output (DVD) is nothing more than 720x576 pixels? The default internal rendering is 800x600, but I have tried to put that to 1600x1200. Either way slides tend to 'shake' when they move. Why? Can I 'drown' Producer in too many pictures, too high resolution, too many 'actions'/keyframes? (My PC is 3.0 GHz, 1 GB ram and 160 GB harddisk.)

I set the Show Options to 720 x 480. Why? Because my camera shoots in 3:2 format so they perfectly fill the frame. My Output is also at that resolution BUT I uncheck the two options for Rendering and resizing. I try to put my images in 1200 height (I don't worry about width) because I use 1600 x 1200 at home and 1680 x 1050 at work. This means, combined with turning off those checkmarks, that you can view my show full screen and it won't have to upsize. DVD output is 16:9 and like you said, it's not as high res as a monitor but it looks great on my 32" LCD TV so I don't worry about it. I have no shaking in my movements...that I know of.
