I do a lot of sports slideshows for my daughter’s sports and I thought I would share my favorite sports songs. In some cases I don’t know the band name. If you search on Amazon, Microsoft Music, Yahoo Music, etc. you should be able to find and preview it.

NFL Films - The Equalizer
NFL Films - A New Game
Ole Ole - Gino Beats - Soccer Anthem
Dangling Tango (I don't know the band)
Sandstorm (there are many bands that do this song.)
BTO - You Aint Seen Nothing Yet
Chicago Bulls - Intro Music
Dave Matthews Band - Ants Marching
Smash Mouth - Allstar
Cirque du Soleil - Éclipse
Cars - Let The Good Times Roll
Bare Naked Ladies - Chinese Chicken
Pink - Get The Party Started
Blue Man Tubes - Rods and Cones
Martha & the Vandellas - Nowhere to Run
Mission Impossible Theme
Van Halen - Right Here, Right Now
Liquid tension experiment - another dimension

Slower songs for the more personal part of the slide show

Thanks fo the song suggestions for sports. I do a lot of sports videos for my kids and am hoping to veer towrds that direction in business. I have been trying to come up with a song(s) for my daughters fastpitch softball team show. There are some posibilities here. The one I think I might use is Ray of Light by Madonna.

Thank you for the list. I will keep it for future use.

I have used this songs for my karate videos that I have done in the past two years.

Push It To The Limit - Corbin Bleu
Hearts On Fire - Rocky Soundtrack
Moment of Truth - Karate Kid Soundtrack
You're The Best - Karate Kid
Fight to Survive - Bloodsport

Some of these songs can be used for other sports events.

These are all great songs. I believe the name of the "I get knocked down" song is Tubthumping. The artist is Chumbawumba. For those who have music questions, feel free to post them here. I was a DJ for over 20 years in South Florida. I have a pretty good knack for finding songs, titles, etc... I'd be happy to help you out if needed.

Teresa,

For a baseball show, you may want to use Centerfield by John Fogerty.

Another good slow song for a sport video is "The World's Greatest" by R. Kelly. These are the lyrics:

I am a mountain
I am a tall tree
ooooh, I am a swift wind,
Sweepin' the country

I am a river,
Down in the valley
ooooh, I am a vision
And I can see clearly

If anybody asks you who I am
Just stand up tall
Look 'em in the face and say

Chorus
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey I made it, mmmmmm
I'm the world's greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it, mmmmmm
I'm the world's greatest
(the worlds greatest, worlds greatest , for ever )

I am a giant
I am an eagle
ooh, I am a lion
Down in the jungle

I am a marchin' band
I am the people
ooh, I am a helping hand
I am a hero

If anybody asks you who I am
Just stand up tall
Look 'em in the face and say

Chorus

In the ring of life i'll rain love (i will rain)
and the world will notice a king (oooohhhhh yahhhhh)
when there is darkness i'll shine a light (shine a light)
and views of success reflect in me

Good luck.

Who hoo! A DJ in the house! That will help a lot when I'm stuck thinking of songs ;) I used to love the chumba wumba song, but completely forgot about it. Thanks everyone for your excellent suggestions!

I am glad i was able to help. I have been using PSG from about a year and recently purchased PSP. However I am not as proficient as some of the experts/artists that we have in this forum. Sometimes I feel like I am "mooching" from folks ideas here. I hope that maybe I can provide some contribution by helping out with the music....

Thanks,
Ivan

For baseball, Chuck Brodsky (folk singer) has a Baseball Ballads album. They include:

1. Ballad of Eddie Klepp
2. Gone to Heaven
3. Lefty
4. Dock Ellis' No-No
5. Letters in the Dirt
6. Bonehead Merkle
7. 7th Inning Stretch
8. Moe Berg: The Song
9. The Unnatural Shooting of Eddie Waitkus
10. Whitey & Harry

Go to his website and you'll see a lyric section and some clips.

For hockey, Chuck Brodsky has:
1. Hockey Fight Song

There's probably other sports ones as well in there. I think some of these would be great for the oldtimers playing the game.

I got it from Rhapsody.

Also, the soundtrack from Everyone's Hero has some good songs on it.
