sourcing photos

Postby Lynnelle » Fri Apr 12, 2013 9:41 am

Hello

I've been asked to put together a book trailer for an author - my problem is her book is set in 1815 England. Does anyone know of any websites that I could find either cheap or free historical photos??

Thanks in advance,
Lynnelle

You can try http://www.shorpy.com

They have photos from many different time periods. Although I can't say I've seen anything from that early in the 1800's. You may have to settle for wood cuts and those I would have no idea where to look.

Photography didn't exist in 1815, so you need to look for for artwork from the period.
