can PSP4 creat an interactive demo disk

Hey there everyone
I have a buddy who has formed a band (old guys playing music at parties etc) He recently asked me If there is any way to do a demo disk for distrobution at gigs. This disk would have pictures, performance videos and maybe bios etc. I was wondering if PSP4 could create such an interactive demo disk. I see it as multiple slideshows, But the intropage would have their Band Logo and several images that would be active launch keys for the underlying shows.

what you have in mind is possible to achieve - by:
a. some intro-page with logo and images - could be done in: "Intro" short show BEFORE Menu,
b. then DVD interractive "Menu"will follow, which can have even several pages,
c. individual shows - linked to the "Menu".

Some limitiation applies:
- DVD output - has limited interractive connections,
- Producer is ment MAINLY for still Photograps, using too meny Videos can slow it down.

Hope this will help - at least as a starting intro,
some more experienced Forum people could give detailed answers,

Dan, can this be done in ProShow? An intro then a Menu. I have thought about doing this but not sure if I know how.

You can have a show that runs before your menu comes up. This intro show should be created as you would a normal show. Then go to Create Output and choose DVD.

Here is a screen shot. Click the Include Intro Show check box (lower right portion of screen). Press Select Show button and choose the Intro Show you previously created.


Be sure to create a menu. Then the menu will be displayed after your Intro Show runs. The menu buttons can be defined as text or you can use an image. You can read more details on how to create a menu in the ProShow Manual get the latest copy here: http://www.photodex.com/support/resources

No problem. It is easy to do. Now you can create that DVD. The menuing system in ProShow is ok. But if you want total control, then I would recommend a product like Sony DVD Architect Studio ($50 USD). It will allow true Chapter and Scene creation. This will allow you to create multi-level menus like a commercial DVD.
