turning an image 180 degrees, revealing another image
Aaarrrrg, it's hard to listen to your own voice, but I need to overcome , so here's a tutorial explaining how to turn an image 180 degrees, revealing another image . This only works for PSP 5 ( and up). In case you would like to see the white backside of the image instead of another image , don;t replace the copied image , but instead slide the black point slider to 100 % in the adjustment settings for the bottom ( copied) layer.

Great job.......
Of making a somewhat complex display seem clear and easy........good job also of explaining what's going on with the keyframes....
You're a good instructor

Thanks you all. I was hoping this would be of anyone's benefit. I might make some more. Some suggestions?

HiAnita,
Thank you so much for recording this excellent tutorial. I was able to follow along easily. Your explanations were great and easily understood.
I hope you make more tutorials soon. I would suggest anything which includes using keyframes or simple use of masks. Masks remain a mystery to me!

Hi Anita
I too would like a tutorial on masks. And - what are modifiers?

There are quite some tutorials on masks already, but I admit, for me it took a while to comprehend most of them. Maybe my brain works differently than those that made those tutorials. I might try to make one for masks, just to have another one . Can't have enough of those I think.. Modifiers is something I work with sometimes, but I consider myself not equipped enough to do a thorough tutorial on that one. Modifiers in Producer 5 is a great tool to achieve repetitive movement ( simulating swing) when you use them between keyframes for tilt settings ( use sine or cosine in the " amount of fuction" settings ). You can also use modifiers to link one or multiple layers to another ( visible or invisible) layer, to synchronizing movement or adjustment settings.

Nice job Anita on the tutorial.
PS Gold users, despair NOT! This can be easily done with Gold as well. Without the keyframes Gold users basically need to break it up into 4 four slides but as far as I can tell, the result is visually the same. Indeed, a reasonable number of things that PSP does with keyframes can still be simply turned into a series of slides in Gold. The key is that if the motions are simple and applied one-at-at time to any single layer then the transform will usually be possible.
I will post a note with an explanation, but not the cool video, over in the Gold Tips and Tricks section with a link over here.

Anita, I'm curious what you are using to record both your voice and your screen. I've wanted to do some Retouch Photoshop tutorials and could use a recommendation for software.

Thanks Anita, it is a bit expensive, but I've tried free versions but always end up with problems as soon as it is more than 30 seconds long. I 'll download the trial.
Thanks so much,
Maggie
