How to Clean Up your Show Templates
NOTE: This Tutorial is for users running Windows 8 and ProShow Producer v5.x
How to Clean Up your unwanted Show Templates from the New Show or the New Show from Template dialog box.
1. If you are running ProShow Producer, please close the application and continue.
2. Open the Windows file manager
3. Under the File menu, Click View >> Options >> Change folder and search options
4. Click the View tab and scroll down to the "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" and uncheck.
5. Click Ok
6. Now, Navigate to C:\Users\All Users\Photodex\ProShow Producer\Templates
7. Here is where you can delete or rename your templates. You can also safely delete the cache file with the extension .psc - Ex. "templates-4672fb84.psc"
8. To see your updated Template list, go ahead and open ProShow Producer, then create a New Show or a New Show from Template. You will notice it takes a moment to recreate the cache based on your changes.
8. Congratulations, you have successfully cleaned up your show templates!

Re: How to Clean Up your Show Templates
While it is true that in Producer ver. 5, the function of deleting templates is not easily accessible, I don't think that telling people to do this through Windows Explorer is the way to go.
Many people feel uncomfortable with Windows Explorer, and with working with "unhidden files".
Here is how to do it using only Producer 5, and no matter what Windows version you are using:
Start a new show and insert a slide, then go to File > Save As Template. From there, you can select your template in the list and click the Delete button.
Photodex has been made aware of this usability issue in the program, and promised to correct it in a future version.
