Link Layers together

Postby favoriteflyer » Sun Aug 01, 2010 10:25 am

I would love to see a way to link particular layers together - to move or zoom together. It would save me a huge amount of time when wanting to move a mask and layer beneath for example. KK

Modifiers would provide you with this. You can set a layer up to follow another very easily.

ProShow Gold doesn't have modifiers. Only Producer has that tool.

From the comparison page of the two products on the Photodex site, this is posted on the right side of the page:

---------------
Key Differences
Creative Potential
ProShow Producer gives you infinitely more creative potential in your shows. Producer's keyframing, adjustment effects, masking and adjustment layers, and modifiers allow you to create almost any effect you can imagine. ProShow Gold doesn't have these features.
----------------

If Gold has a right-click "dupe layer"choice in a right-click layer menu, insert your mask first, set the movement, duplicate it and replace the bottom layer with an image, that should get you the results you want. But Gold has no masking feature either. So you must use an image layer of a frame png file of some sort with a hole in it.
