Can't turn on Slide Options editing tools

Postby Malixe on Sat Feb 06, 2010 3:24 pm

I don't use ProShow very often, typically once or twice a year. I'm supposing the answer is a simple one, but I'm not finding it. I have ProShow Gold 4.1 and when I click on a slide and open the box for slide options, the internal image editing tools-- the dialogue boxes for 'adjustments' and 'editing tools' are visible, but greyed out and inaccessible.

I know I can use an external editor, but II really don't want to have to drag files into photoshop to do some minor tweaking, it's wasteful and time-consuming, and I remember being able to use these internal PSG tools in past versions. I ought to be able to use them now, but I cannot find any way to activate them.

Initially I thought it might be because my slide files were TIFFs, but I have the same issue with JPGs. Not finding any answers in PSG 'Help', nor so far on the forum here, though I'm still searching.

It's probably staring me in the face, but I sure can't find it. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?

Windows 7 64 bit, AMD Athlon 64 X2 60000 3 GHZ w/4 GB RAM, if that makes any difference...

Riiight... had to ask the question before I could stumble across the answer-- I was looking at the menu under the slide "background" tab, and since I haven't selected any image for a background, there was nothing to edit, thus menus are greyed out. When I went under the 'LAYERS' bar and found the editing tab, suddenly the same menu was there and it worked the way I remembered and wanted it to work-- on the slide.

That's the problem with not using the program more often, I half-remember what I was able to do before, but they've always upgraded to a new version since the last time I used it, so I fumble around a bit at first.

That's a big 'Never Mind!' to you all, but thanks for being there even so!
