Creating ISO form psdata files?

Postby Pisek on Mon Jul 26, 2010 4:23 pm

Hi,

First of all, sorry for my english, but I was unable to find help in my language...

The only thing i have left from my slideshow is the psdata folder. I don't have the ISO image, I don't even have the pictures used in the slideshow... Is it possible to create a video dvd (or ISO image) having only those files?

Files i have:

info.dat
navigationInfo.dat
VOBInfo.dat
vtsdata_01_data.vob
vtsdata_01_patch.vob
vtsdata_01_patchdata.vob
vtsdata_02_data.vob
vtsdata_02_patch.vob
vtsdata_02_patchdata.vob
vtsdata_03_data.vob
vtsdata_03_patch.vob
vtsdata_03_patchdata.vob

Thanks for help.

I would think so, but I have not heard of someone doing it. Unless anybody else knows the answer, I would email photodex and ask them. I would definitely make a copy of that folder and experiment with the copy, not the original files. Did you ever burn a DVD ? For the ps_data folder to exist, I think you had to either burn a dvd or create an ISO. If you created a DVD (and you can get your hands on it), you can create an ISO from the DVD with the free Imgburn utility (normally we use it to burn dvd's from an ISO, but it can also create an ISO from a DVD). I think those files in the ps_data folder are actually very close to what goes on a DVD in the VIDEO_TS folder, but I'm not sure.

You can't have too many gadgets or too much disk space !!
It said windows NT or better, so I installed Ubuntu Linux :-)

In snooping around for something else, I came across some information on using the free Isobuster to rebuild a DVD from .vob files - this may be of interest to you (or others with similar problems).
