Slide list "jump"

In the new PS6, about 2/3 of the time when I am in Timeline and click on Slide List, it not only moves to Slide List, but also simultaneously jumps back to the very beginning of the show. That means I always have to locate my earlier position in the slideshow . Is anyone else having this problem?

The same problem also existed in earlier versions, and it's irritated the devil out of me for a long time. It can be mitigated somewhat by selecting the slide you want to work on, or if you're adding a new blank slide at the end, first clicking in the blank spot where you'll be adding the slide. As far as I know, there's no real solution in the works.
