new website-Feedback Please!

Postby gnj1207 » Sat Jul 22, 2006 1:16 am

Hi Everyone-
Okay-I've got my website up and going-seems like I have beenworking on it forever. I would love to hear
any feedback you might have. It is still a work in progress. My announcement page and background changes are still not completed- We recently moved and I'm still going through boxes. Hopefully I will have those pages complete by the end of this weekend.

Thanks for checking it out (in advance).

Julie

I really like your site! I like the color combination you used and it is not too busy and very easy to navigate! Congratulations and best of luck with your new venture!

The site looks very good. not too much info....A couple things I noticed for you.

The lettering in the first paragraph "Makeover" overlaps "offers" I am using Firefox as a browser but just checked Explorer and it does it there also. the below paragrapgh does the same thing. I would bring the font down some or consider using " WE" or "OUR TEAM" Actually on your ABOUT US page you have the same wording and the words don't overlap.

Also on the Wedding Video show streamed in from Photodex the beginning titling goes off the screen?

Now it's time to submit your site to google and other search engines to get yourself coming up when people search for " a digital makeover" and other services you offer.

Here's a few to get you started:

Google add URL

Alltheweb submit

Submitexpress

good luck,

Jeff

Problems accessing site

Postby shutterbug » Mon Aug 14, 2006 5:15 pm

Hi Julie,
I tried to view your site. I couldn't get anything but blank boxes. Thought you may want to know that.

Hi peg! Sorry, somehow my image folder was moved after installing a new antivirus program on my computer. The problem has been corrected and you should be able to view it now.

Thanks,
Julie

Julie,

Nice website ..... I hope you get lot's of business from it. A couple of things I noticed. On your pricing page: Your Deluxe and Premium banners are covering some of your text ..... you can still read it but it would be nicer to move the text away from the banners. On the photo enhancement page .... your guarantee at the bottom .....I think would look better if the text went all the way to the end on the black text box as it does on the Slideshow Services page.

Just my thoughts ... hope it helps,

Bob

Thanks Bob! It has been a heck of a week with my site. First the image file was moved after installing an anti-virus program-took almost 3 days before I figured out where it was. I have 23 pages in all on my site and thought I had fixed all the gliches. Glad you caught them!

Thanks again,
Julie
