CHANUKAH - The Festival of Lights
This year the first day of the eight day festival of Chanukah begins on the 5th December.
The purpose of my show is to give some background history about Chanukah and why it is celebrated
by the Jewish people throughout the world.
I hope you enjoy watching my show (runs 3 minutes 30 seconds).

Brenda,
I very much enjoyed the show. A fun way to learn more about this great festival. I especially liked the animated and progressive lighting of the candles. I had not heard that Dreidel tune before. Voice over was interesting, maybe still needs more lowering of volume of regular track ... a minor item though. Presentation of a lot of captions can be problematic, but it worked fine in your show.
Pass the Latkes and Sufganiyot please!

I enjoyed your show, and I've certainly learned some new things! Yes, there was a lot of text but you made it nice and clear and it was a pleasure to read. I certainly have never heard of the driedel, akin to 'our' spinning top? I too liked the progressive lighting of the candles. Your music was nice too, the arrangement of the tunes really suited and kept your show light and entertaining informative fun. Very nicely done.

Happy Chanukah, Brenda! I'm so glad you posted this show at this time when so many are out there doing the usual Christmas thing. It's a reminder of where things began, Christianity have grown from Judaism, after all.
It was well done, the explanations clear and concise. Most enjoyable.
Now I'm sitting here at a little after eight in the morning thinking about latkes. (Darn. There's no drooling emoticon.)

Thank you for watching my show and your kind and positive comments. I'm really happy that you all
enjoyed it.
I have made a few alterations to the show (changed the link in my first post). Jerry, the music on the
voice over was integrated in the audio, so I dropped the volume on this portion. Thanks to you Mona, I
have increased the reading time on the third slide.

I noticed you used a few animated gif's how do you keep them animated in Producer? I have one in a show of mine but it's not moving when I put it in Producer..do I have to convert it someway?

Chrissy, so good to see your lovely posts again! I'm so happy to see your smiling avatar again in the forum!
We are in the Gold section here, because Brenda used Gold to create these shows. This makes her shows all the more compelling!
I believe that she made little avi files out of the animated gif files. Lots and lots of work.
But I think that ver. 4 now supports animated gif.

Thank you so much for watching my Chanukah show. I'm really happy that you enjoyed it.
Yes, Mona is correct it was made with PSG (last year).
I converted animated gifs (again Mona is correct) into video files as PSG/Producer does not
directly support animated gifs. However, I see that Mona has written the new
version 4 does now have this support. This is something I have always wanted, and it will
certainly make it easier for me.
Unfortunately, it will be a long time before I can make any more shows as we immigrated from
the UK to Canada in August. My computer is in storage with all our stuff until we find a place
of our own to live (with our daughter & family at present). This post will tell you more:-
