Does ProShow Gold compress images

Fri Dec 20, 2019 3:11 am

Hello,
I recently produced a presentation for an inter-club photographic competition.

I uploaded all the images as I received them. Subsequently I have had a comment regarding the quality of the presentation, asking if ProShow Gold compresses images MORE than PicturesToExe?

The images should have been sent to me at 300ppi, but checking all the images (and there were a lot!) I was given in Photoshop Bridge, a good proportion were at 72ppi, but looking on this Photodex web link is says that ppi doesn't make any difference.
https://kb.photodex.com/2294/what-dpi-do-i-need-to-save-my-images-at-before-importing-into-proshow/

In the past I have produces several presentations for our camera club and the images always looked fine!

SO . . . . . does ProShowGold compress images more than PicturesToExe?

Look forward to your comments

Regards

Brian

Hello

PPI does not matter but the total size in pixels of the image does

Also most of 72 dpi images have probably been compressed before you received them with a loss of quality.

I uses high definition images and Proshow conserve them in very good condition according to my choice when creating the video
