NEW Problem exporting June 5, 2020

Fri Jun 05, 2020 6:44 am

After the servers came back up on 6/4/20 export was working fine but as of 6/5/20 when I export the video shows this message: "This software may be in use illegally." And list this link: http://photodex.com/amnesty. Has anyone ever seen this message in the past? I have been using Proshow for over 10 years and never had something like this come up?
I also see that another person also today just reported this problem on the Photopia forum. See link below.

It could be now that the server is back up causing this issue, not sure
Remove the the 3 files that you inserted into Proshow and rename the original 3 files back to *.dnt
This should get things going again, I did have the same problem, but once I did the above it all worked fine

Try to delete these 2 files in the installation directory

proshow.phd
proshow.cfg

They will be rebuilt when running again ProShow.

Hi Folks,

Just a thought... It may be time to take a good look at alternatives. PTE AV Studio 10 and PTE AV Studio 10 Pro do not require server activation. You just enter your unlock code and that's it.

There are many, many former Proshow and Gold users who are finding it to be a valuable and powerful alternative and the price is right.

Best regards,

Lin

It seems that I can not do a publish output....is this because Photodex is out of business?

I am getting this error:

"This software may be in use illegally."

- proshow.cfg

You're quite right, they are very useful alternatives.
If anyone still using ProShow Producer need any resources I give mine away for FREE.
You can download ProShow Producer 9 FREE which includes my registration activation bypassing the NO LONGER IN EXISTENCE Photodex activation servers.
I also have all the styles and packs and extras which are all FREE to download.
I also have slide styles and shows I give away for FREE on my ProShow Producer support group.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/338829398351892
My website is password protected to stop unscrupulous sites hot linking to my files.
I change the password regularly and include that in my group where I also give FREE slide styles and shows as well.
The login is Username: pigletpete Password: pigletpete

Photodex actually built into the software that uploading to the social media sites within the software go through Photodex then on to the social media platform.
You need to publish your show to a video file (majority of sites accept .mp4).
Also, using ProShow Producer creates quite a few temporary files on the Windows system which need to be cleared out regularly, otherwise ProShow Producer has a tendency to do "funny" things.
Kind regards
