Another sound layer
It would be nice to see perhaps the facility to add more layers of sound that could be used for multiple & possibly overlapping sound effects as well as a sound track.

Re: Another sound layer
PS Gold (And Producer) are designed for doing slideshows. They do support limited audio features, but the best way to create a complex sound track is to use something like the free Audacity to build your soundtrack with multiple layers. There is a way to get multiple layers in either Gold or Producer but it is a bit of a pain. What you do is have your main sound track, then you can attach a sound to a slide which would give you two layers - now the way to sneak up on more layers is to assign another sound to the slide before the one you are working on and another one to the slide after the one you are working on. Use a delay equal to the slide time on the first one and a negative delay on the third one. This allows you to have 3 sounds mixed together for example on top of the main sound track. A bit clunky, but it does work - better answer though is to use an external audio editor to build what you want.

Re: Another sound layer
Adding to Mikey's prescription for multiple tracks is my own, which is very much like his in using an outside sound editor. The problem with this is, of course, getting the timing correct. Therefore, it's best done after you've all but chiseled your slide times in stone. That way, you know exactly when to bring in which tracks. Been there, done that, learned my lesson.
