Another VisiSketch Output
I'm not trying to bore you guys with this stuff, but I thought this
one turned out really good, mostly because of the ubercool underlying
image, courtesy of Don Schaaf. I really went heavy on the detail with
this one, so the AVI file is very large. The show is 45MB and does
take a while to begin to play, at least with my less than superfast
DSL connection. I'd guess that it may take 5 minutes to buffer the
show, but I really think it's worth the wait for this one. But then I
do have a certain bias for these things
Anyway, here's the link:

By the way, just for comparison purposes, here's what the same show looks like on YouTube compressed with the Divx MPEG compressor before uploading:

The camera sees things the way they are. Photoshop makes them the way we'd like them to be.

I liked it
Dave, I downloaded your software, but haven't played with it yet. Looks promising. On the previous show you made about the sports team I did have one thought. It would apply to any show using this technique. Since the drawing takes a bit to happen on screen, how about when doing the drawing, let the intro text appear during the drawing process? I ususally don't support conflicting imagery in a show, but in this case, I believe it would work. More "eye candy" so to speak. I think the business and the anticipation all going on at once would work well. Then, just before the drawing finishes, the last of the intro text displays and the screen stays still for about 4 seconds... just my interpretation of this idea... ~al

Al,
I think that's a great idea. What I was thinking about doing is using the AVI with the opacity at about 50 - 70 % and letting the sketch paint over a white BG. Then text, or anything else, could play in the foreground. I'm on the case
