copying frim DVD to thumb drive

can someone transfer a Proshow Gold show from a DVD to a Thumb Drive?

If you mean that you want to transfer everything, including menus, then the answer is no.
But, if you just want to play your show from the thumb drive on your tv, then it's enough to just transfer the video file itself.
Your TV will be able to play it, through the built in browser of the TV

IS THAT the Video_TS file? when I copy that file to the thumb drive it shows VOB files and it says i need aprogram to open it.

Change the .vob extension to .mpg after you copy it to the thumb drive. The file is, in fact, just an mpg file, which is recognized by just about every player.
